Our Program

Here at Bariatric Health & Wellness, we recognize that weight loss is not one-size-fits-all. Because of this, we offer various programs that range from personalized meal plans to our nutritionally-designed meal replacements. Regardless of which program is best for you, we fit into the busiest of lifestyles. Imagine how much time you'll save when you no longer have to plan meals for yourself and wander through the grocery store!

The guiding principle behind each of our individualized programs is a structured Protein Sparing Modified Fasting Diet (PSMF). You’ll start out eating only our prescription foods, but fear not – we’ve taken care to include all your favorites! Shakes, candy bars, salty snacks – we’ve got it all!

More specifically, the protocol for the PSMF diet is outlined in 3 phases:

  • Phase 1 is the Weight Reduction Phase of the program, where you can expect to lose 2 to 5 pounds a week. This phase also serves as introduction to your own future weight loss. Working together with our trained professionals, you’ll comfortably learn what you can realistically expect. Together we’ll set goals by which we will measure your progress. During this stage, we offer in-house dispensing of appetite suppressants when medically indicated. We also offer a vitamin regimen to compliment your weight loss program.
  • The second portion of the PSMF is called Realimentation Phase, where you’ll begin reintroduce grocery store food to your diet under our professional supervision. And thanks to the metabolic analysis that we perform at the end of this phase, you’ll know just how many calories you can take in each day and of what those calories should consist.
  • The final and most important part of the program is the FREE Lifetime Maintenance Phase. The fact is that you are more apt to keep your weight off when you are actively involved in a supervised weight maintenance program. In the 18 months that follow your Bariatric diet, you’ll no doubt face the inevitable hurdles to weight loss: holidays, vacations, stressors, etc. We know you’re human, and we know these things can lead to weight regain. Our Bariatric Specialists will continue to counsel you on dietary recommendations, exercise, and building new, healthier relationships.
